Hello! I'm Craig, and I'm a Security Analyst from Western NY.
After graduating from high school, I enlisted in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman. I was stationed in California for my enlistment on board the USS John C. Stennis CVN-74 at NAS North Island in San Diego and Super Hornet Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-122 at NAS Lemoore in the Central Valley of California.
After my Honorable Discharge from the Navy I decided to move back to Western New York and enrolled in Erie Community College where I majored IT with a concentration in Oracle PL/SQL. After graduating from ECC, I enrolled in Alfred State's Bachelor of Technology in Network Administation program.
Alfred State is a residental college that offers many programs ranging from Health Sciences and Nursing to to Network Administration and Cyber Security. At Alfred State I became interested in Cyber Security and decided to join the information security club called the Alfred State Information Security Team. The team competed in various Cyber Security competitions across the North Eastern United States including the NECCDC.
During my time at Alfred State I also held positions of employment for the Technology Services Department. I was a Help Desk Analyst, Laptop Technician, Plotter Room Technician, and Network Technician. I was also an Intern working for the Computer Informatin Technology Department under the tutelage of Russell Rittenhouse who is the departments IT Technician/jack of all trades/server admin.
After I left Alfred State, my first IT job was working on the NYS ITS Service Desk working as a sub-contractor of IBM at Kelly Services. This was a Buffalo Billion job working at the Information Technologies Innovation and Commercialization Hub at Fountain Plaza's South Tower.
My next position I worked as a Help Desk Analyst with Kaleida Health by way of Tek Systems as a contractor working on the Childrens Hospital move. This involved extensive planning and including testing all new systems and devices in every room in the new hospital.
